How it works.
Washington Fork secures ownership interest in thoroughbred fillies and mares and further syndicates that interest to provide an affordable avenue into broodmare ownership.
To control costs and diversify risk, Washington Fork partners with trusted, experienced horsemen and women who specialize in this segment of the industry. Revenue is generated by the sale of the resulting foals and residual value of the mare.

While never a “sure bet,” our broodmare partnerships provide an opportunity to learn and appreciate this segment of Kentucky’s signature industry.

Our broodmares (and their foals) are boarded in Central Kentucky with farms that specialize in thoroughbred breeding and rearing. We board with operations that welcome our partners and guests - questions, photos and videos welcome!
*The horses in our broodmare fund(s) are not boarded at our farm in Maysville.
